Surah Name: Al-Zilzal Meaning: Quaking

bismillah

إِذَا زُلْزِلَتِ الْأَرْضُ زِلْزَالَهَا 

Itha zulzilati alardu zilzalaha

When the earth is shaken by her full shaking.

(99:1)

وَأَخْرَجَتِ الْأَرْضُ أَثْقَالَهَا 

Waakhrajati alardu athqalaha

And the earth shakes off her burdens.

(99:2)

وَقَالَ الْإِنسَانُ مَا لَهَا 

Waqala alinsanu ma laha

And man says: What ails her.

(99:3)

يَوْمَئِذٍ تُحَدِّثُ أَخْبَارَهَا 

Yawmaithin tuhaddithu akhbaraha

On that Day will she relate what had happened to it?

(99:4)

بِأَنَّ رَبَّكَ أَوْحَى لَهَا 

Bianna rabbaka awha laha

Since your Rabb-SWT will inspire it.

(99:5)

يَوْمَئِذٍ يَصْدُرُ النَّاسُ أَشْتَاتًا لِّيُرَوْا أَعْمَالَهُمْ

Yawmaithin yasduru a(l)nnasu ashtatan liyuraw aAAmalahum

On that Day will mankind proceed in bands, that they may be shown their works.

(99:6)

فَمَن يَعْمَلْ مِثْقَالَ ذَرَّةٍ خَيْرًا يَرَهُ 

Faman yaAAmal mithqala tharratin khayran yarah(u)

Then whosoever has worked good of an atom's weight shall see it.

(99:7)

وَمَن يَعْمَلْ مِثْقَالَ ذَرَّةٍ شَرًّا يَرَهُ 

Waman yaAAmal mithqala tharratin sharran yarah(u)

And whosoever has worked ill of an atom's weight shall see it.

(99:8)

In The Name of Allah-SWT the Most Gracious, The Most Merciful
SECRETS OF REVELATION:

When the earth is jolted, as a result of establishment of Qayamah, it will disgorge all that it contains, the dead, the treasures or whatever secrets it had held so long. Mankind will protest but it would be by the Will of Allah-SWT that she would provide evidence to the conduct of her inhabitants.

 

On that Day mankind shall divide into separate groups. The kind of people one had preferred to associate with in his lifetime, he will be standing amongst them to witness the sequel. Anyone doing a noble act, even of the weight of an atom will be rewarded. The scholars assert that a person with a speck of faith in his heart will ultimately be delivered from Hell. And anyone having done a wrong, as tiny as an atom, will also see its outcome. The Holy Prophet-SW directs that no sin should be taken as insignificant for it will be reckoned with in any case. May Allaah-SWT have Mercy!
